Teleconferencing Facility Rates

 

Use of the Teleconferencing Center

This facility, located in room T-101, of Phase 2 of the Food Science and Human Nutrition Building, is a combination auditorium/production studio. It is desgined to seat 145 and is equipped as a multi-camera/studio production facility with special effects, post-production, satellite reception and display and many other special video related capabilities.

Because of this unique combination of capabilities, T-101 is dedicated to primary use as a studio for production of satellite teleconferences and videotape productions of the college. It is also reserved each semester for use by WHETS classes and for the meeeting of both faculty and staff senate.

New prices have been established for use of the Telecon Center as a downlink, meeting, or audio conferencing site.

This room is for use for activities requiring telecommunications support. Please do not request use of this facility for regular classes or meetings. Time is at a premium in this facility and the pre-production requirement connected with satellite and instructional video productions call for blocks of time when the production crew can light, construct sets, test equipment, etc., when the room is not being used for another purpose.

All requests for use of this facility should be directed to Scott Fedale, Chair, Information Department, College of Agriculture and Home Economics.

This includes one staff member, the two 45" monitors, video amps, routing switcher, audio amps, mics, Fora TBC, control monitors, Satellite dish and receiver and the mixer.

This does NOT include VHS recording or dubbing. See our VHS duplication rates for more information.

The price of $50/hr. will be charged to all, regardless of whether all the equipment is used or not.

 
Exception:
 
For other events that may require taping, an additional $50 an hour will be charged (total $100/hr.) to cover another staff member and a camera. If we have to staff a full crew, then our regular pricing for studio (at this time, $350 an hour) will apply.
