| Who
We Are |
|
| The
Extension Communications & Educational Support within Washington State University maintains a state-of-the-art multi-use
television production facility. Our producers have created dozens
of informational and educational video programs, as well as countless
satellite broadcasts over the last 18 years. In fact, many of our
television productions have received awards in some very prestigious
festivals. We take pride in not only producing our client's video
or satellite conference, but in helping our client every step of the
way, from planning to evaluation. We're not just a group of television
and multi-media producers. We're communication consultants, conference
coordinators, educational designers, and creative writers; and we're
here to help you! |
| "I
am very proud of this video and attribute the success of the
project to... the Extension Communications & Educational Support. It paves the way for
similar marketable 'video bulletins.' "
Marianne
Ophardt, Area Extension Agent |

| What
We Care About |
|
| The
Video/Multi-media Unit of the Extension Communications & Educational Support is comprised of four
television producers and a broadcast engineer.
We view each project holistically, and consider all facets of the
project as equally important. We all become a team, and we adopt your
project into our value set. This means you and your project don't
get lost in the shuffle. We want you to succeed! |
|
"Your
help prior to the broadcast was useful in planning, especially
as we're both fairly new to the satellite medium. And, of
course, your assistance during practice and work during the
actual broadcast were essential to the project's success!"
Janet
Hiller, PhD, Extension 4-H Youth Development Specialist,
"Approach to Youth Protection Issues"

| What
We Do |
|
| Whether
it's a satellite conference, a video program, an interactive DVD or CD-Rom,
or a dynamic web page, we have the capability to produce every aspect
of it "in-house." The Extension Communications & Educational Support has graphic
designers, computer programmers and technicians, publication editors,
printing capability, and newswriters...and all of us work together
to make sure you receive a multi-dimensional product; whether it be
an accompanying publication, a news release, or a marketing campaign. |
|
"Most
of the time the video has been shown, it has received applause.
It always leaves a warm and positive reaction."

Education |
|
| In
the Extension Communications & Educational Support's Teleconferencing Center, we produce programming
to distribute to our network of 42 C/Ku-band satellite downlinks located
in county Extension offices and Research and Extension centers throughout
Washington state, as well as both state-wide and national broadcasts.
The facility has built-in audio and video interactive capability,
and an ergonomically pleasant, tiered seating capacity of over 140. |
|
"I
wish to extend my thanks to you and the WSU team... for your
quality work in producing the recent Exploring Wetlands Stewardship
training. ..the highly professional job done by your team
was critical to the successful presentation of this program."

| Video
Production |
|
| We
use broadcast quality, professional gear to capture your footage,
and edit using one of the leading non-linear systems available today.
However, it's not the bells-and-whistles that are important...it's
writing skills and people-interviewing experience. The Extension Communications & Educational Support has over 40 years of collective television producing experience.
Since 1989 we have produced over 70 satellite teleconferences and
55 instructional/informational videotapes. Several of these productions
have won regional and national awards from organizations such as the
International Television Association, Environmental Protection Agency,
the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, the Soil Conservation
Service, the American Society of Agronomy and the Agricultural Communicators
in Education, to name only a few. |
|
"My
initial reaction to this video was WOW! It came out in a fashion
that I didn't expect could be done. It was a surprise-a pleasant
one!"
Kenn
Barber, Extension Family Life Specialist, "Safely Caring
For Young Children"

| Interactive
Multi-Media |
|
| Where
else can you find television producers, graphic artists, writers and
editors, computer programmers, and complete printing and distribution
capability under one roof? We were "multi-media" before
they even coined the term! Whether you want to design a interactive
CD-ROM, or web page, we have the expertise to guide you! |
|
"That's
what I consider cooperation, quality, and value added."
John
Munn, Extension Naturalist, "River Salmon Tour"
